Lance Corporal Charles Powell

A collection of war time memorabilia and letters concerning my father's service and imprisonment. Lance Corporal Charles Powell, originally Private, served in the Teritorials before the outbreak of WWII and transferred into the KSLI. Later he became a signaller in the Paracute Regiment. During this time he fought at Arnhem, was shot in the face when in the town, was taken in by a Dutch family and eventually captured and imprisoned.
